CJR Renewables strengthens its position in Chile with the Balance of System of another 80 MW solar PV Plant

CJR Renewables strengthens its position in Chile with the Balance of System of another 80 MW solar PV Plant 0

Located in Chile, in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago, this solar PV plant will have more than 130.000 units of PV modules, 2.500 trackers and 13 MV stations. Within the contract, CJR Renewables will execute all civil, mechanical, and electrical works, such as structures, roads, MV (27 km) and LV (6.4 km) trenches, PV stations, string boxes, cables, Scada, CCTV, tests and commissioning, fixed structures and PV modules. Construction is scheduled to start at the beginning of March and the grid connection will happen in 2023. For Nuno Carvalho, Regional Manager LATAM, this is a milestone project for the company since” we are adding more projects to our portfolio and with an increase in installed capacity. This just means good work of our teams and quality throughout the execution! Between 2013 and 2022, CJR Renewables built more than 1500 MW of renewable energy projects in Chile alone, which means a consolidated and sustained position in this region. We are on the right track!” With the construction of this plant, Chile moves forwards to the diversification of the energy mix, with the goal of having 70 per cent of the country's electricity coming from renewable sources by 2030.
