Installing one WTG Vestas V136 (4.2 MW) with a Hub Height of 149 meters was the motto of the Brunow-Klesste project, whose mechanical and electrical installation is now completed.
Brunow-Klesste Wind Farm is located in Germany, and for the WTG Installation operation counted on 12 technicians, daily, on the ground, during a four weeks period. For Stefanie Antunes, Project Manager “This project was not anomalous to our activity. Due to the atmospheric conditions, we had lightly stretched the schedule, but we can affirm that the result did not fall short of the expectation”.
Did you know that this project required a Blade Lifter transport?
For Stefanie Antunes, the truly atypical moment of this project was the blades transportation. “Blade Lifter is an exceptional transport that allows blades transportation. It consists of a hydraulic lift that allows the wind blade to be raised up to about 60°, guaranteeing considerable savings on civil works. In this case, the blade has 66 meters length, which is quite considerable. Although this transport is quite used in this market, it always causes an impact and surprise on the team, especially because it is a telecommand vehicle”.
