Renaico 33/220kV Substation

July 23, 2020 / CJR Renewables
Construction is well underway on Renaico 33/220kV Substation.
This week, CJR Renewables will perform first power line shut off during 10 days (of a total planned of 2) that will take Renaico I Wind Farm out of the grid for 1 month. "This stage is clearly a tribute to all project's team from engineering to construction, on site and back-office. With their resourcefulness, instead of a power shut off during the whole construction period, Substation will only be down for a very short period, and the most fantastic aspect is the fact that, this solution, wasn't previously defined. It is entirely team's improvement and optimization proposal. This makes me feel very pleased, because team's will to go further it's shown on concrete actions and enhancements" said Bruno Gata , Head of Power&Grid.

Being on planned schedule, the project already achieved some important milestones, such as the construction of the 190 piles for soil improvement, the beginning of civil works on power transformer foundation and fire wall and on existing O&M building ampliation, along with the beginning of electrical works.
