"What Does an Organizational Psychologist Do in a Company?" was the motto of the program (that lasted one day) intended to promote social work education.
CJR Group welcomed, today, five students from the Integrated Master of Psychology, from the University of Minho (UM), visit which took place under the scope of the Psychological Practice observation, promoted by the Master’s coordination.
In order to promote an approximation to the labour market’s reality, with regard to Organizational Psychology area, directly connected to Human Resources Department of CJR Group, this visit is quite important to the organization, as to the Master’s students.
As Filipa Dantas refers, one of the students of UM, “these visits help us to understand how things work, in practice, clarifying us about which psychology area to choose”. Her colleague, Catarina Carreira, agrees about the relevance of the CJR Group’s visit, highlighting that “the area which I’m less inclined to choose is precisely Organizational Psychology, but only knowing the labour’s market I can be sure of that… besides, in contrast to Clinical Psychology, the Organizational area is the one with which we probably have less contact, so the collaboration of the companies in this sense is fundamental”.
With these programs, CJR Group intends to promote the contact with knowledge centres, as the universities are, and its students, future human capital of the organization.
In the students’ reception were Flávia Costa (CJR Group’s Human Resources) and Cláudia Rodrigues (same Department’s intern, under the scope of the Integrated Master of Psychology).
